James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes that are scattered abroad, greeting.
My brothers, consider it all joy when you fall into various kinds of trials [peirazo];

Knowing [this], that the trying [dokimazo] of your faith produces endurance.

But let endurance have [its] complete work, that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to everyone liberally, without any prejudice or condemnation; and it will be given to him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting. For he that doubts is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed [about].
For let not that man think that he will receive anything from the Lord.
An indecisive man [is] unstable in all his ways.
Let the brother of low status rejoice in that he is exalted:
But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he will pass away.
For the sun has no sooner risen with a burning heat, than it withers the grass, and the flower of it falls, and the beauty of it perishes: so also will the rich man fade away in his activities.
Blessed [is] the man that perseveres under trial [peirazo]: for when he has been approved [dokimazo], he will receive the crown of [zoe] life, which the Lord has promised to those that love him.

Let no man say when he is being tested[peirazo], I am [being] put under trial by God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does He test any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own desires, and enticed.
Then when lust has conceived, it bears sin: and sin, when it is finished, bears death.
Do not be in error, my beloved brothers.
Every pleasant and complete gift comes from above, and proceeds from the Father of those that give out light, who does not change nor cast a shadow as he turns.
- PROVISION
- PROVISION
He chose to birth us through the word of truth, that we should be a kind of prototype of what He made.
Therefore, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to listen, slow to speak, slow to [boil with] anger [orge]:
For the seething anger [orge] of man does not result in the righteousness of God.
Therefore put aside all immorality and gross wickedness, and receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be doers of the word, and not listeners only, deceiving your own selves.
For if anyone is a listener of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror:
For he looks at himself, and goes on his way, and immediately forgets what kind of person he was.
But whoever looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues [to do this], not being a forgetful listener, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.
If anyone among you appears to be religious, and does not control his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion [is] pointless.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the orphans and widows in their distress, [and] to keep himself untainted by the world.
