Whatever encouragement there may be in Christ, whatever comfort there may be in [agape] love, whatever communion there may be in the Spirit, whatever heartfelt compassion there may be,
- AGAPE - DIVINE LOVE
Make me totally happy that you are continually thinking as one, having the same [agape] love, your souls joined together in continual harmony.
- AGAPE - DIVINE LOVE
[Let] nothing [be done] through strife or empty boasting; but in lowliness of mind let each consider others better than themselves.
Everyone should not be just paying attention to his own interests, but also to the needs of others.
You should have the same attitude that was in Christ Jesus:
He had the very essence of God but did not claim His right to be equal to God.:
Instead He emptied Himself and assumed the role of a servant, taking on the image of a mere man.
And having identified himself as man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to the point of death; death by crucifixion.
Therefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him the name that is above every name:
So that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, those who are in heaven, those who are on the earth, those who are in the world below [the realm of the dead];
And every tongue should acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, leading to the glory and honor of God the Father.
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God who is working in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.
God not only places in us a desire to do something, but He also enables us to do it.

Do all things without complaining and arguing:
That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;
Holding forth the word of [zoe] life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run for nothing, neither laboured for nothing.
Yes, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad, and rejoice with you all.
For the same reason also you are glad, and rejoice with me.
But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly to you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your condition.
For I have no man of the same mind, who will naturally care about your condition.
For all seek their own interests, not the things that are Jesus Christ's.
But you know how he has proved [dokimazo] himself, that, as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.
- DOKIMAZO - TEST - FATHERHOOD
Therefore I hope to send him shortly, as soon as I can see how it will go with me.
- HOPE
But I trust in the Lord that I also myself will come shortly.
Yet I considered it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my needs.
For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because [of the fact] that you had heard that he had been sick.
For indeed he was sick and near to death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sadness on top of grief.
I sent him therefore sooner, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such a person in honor:
Because for the work of Christ he was near to death, not considering his [psuche] life, to supply your lack of service towards me. - PSUCHE - SOUL LIFE
