Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]

1 Let every person be subject to higher authorities. For there is no authority except from God: those that exist are ordained by God.
- AUTHORITY OF MAN
2 Whosoever therefore resists the power, resists the ordinance of God: and they that resist will receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Will you then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and you will have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid; for he bears not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] revenge [orge] upon him that does evil.
5 Therefore [you] need to be subject, not only for anger [orge] but also for conscience sake.
6 For this reason you pay taxes also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.
8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the law.
9 For this, You will not commit adultery, You will not kill, You will not steal, You will not bear false witness, You will not covet; and if [there is] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, You will love your neighbor as yourself.
10 [Agape] love works no ill to its neighbor: therefore [agape] love [is] the fulfilling of the law.
- AGAPE - DIVINE LOVE
11 And that, knowing the [kairos] time, that now is the hour to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed.
- KAIROS - TIME
12 The nighttime has advanced, the daylight has appeared: let us, therefore, remove [as clothing] the activities of [the realm of] darkness, and let us put on [as clothing] the weapons of [the realm of] light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in sleeping around and lust, not in strife and envying.
14 But put on [for your personal benefit] the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not create an opportunity for the flesh, to carry out its desires.
