Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]

I urge you therefore, brothers and sisters, because of the compassions of God, to offer your bodies specifically as a living sacrifice, dedicated completely, pleasing to God, which is the logical thing for you to do.
And do not allow yourself to be molded by the world system: but be in a process of being transformed [metamorphoo], by a total renovation of your mind [nous], so that you may confirm through testing [dokimazo] what the good, pleasant and complete will of God is.
- DOKIMAZO - TEST
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone that is among you, not to think [of themself] more highly than they ought to be thinking; but to be of a sound mind, as God dealt out to everyone a portion of faith.
For as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same function:
So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members of each other.
Having then gifts that vary according to the grace that is given to us, [we should use them], if prophecy, according to the proportion of faith;
If service, in serving: a teacher, in teaching;
- TEACHING OFFICE
If an encourager, in exhortation: one that gives, with generosity; one that rules, with diligence; one that shows compassion, with cheerfulness.
[Let] [agape] love be sincere. [Continually] abhor what is evil; [continue to] be joined to what is good.
- AGAPE - DIVINE LOVE
Show your feelings towards one another in love; lead the way by putting others first;
Not lagging in zeal; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rejoicing in hope; persevering under pressure; continually in prayer;
- HOPE
Sharing in the needs of the saints; given to hospitality.
[Continually] bless those who are persecuting you: bless, and do not curse.
[Continually] rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with those that weep.
[Be] in harmony with one another. Do not have an exalted opinion of yourself, but associate with those that are of lower position. Do not become wise in your own eyes.
Repay no one evil for evil. Provide an honest front before all men.
If you are able to, from your side, [continually] maintain peace with every person.
Beloved, do not continually [try to] vindicate yourselves, but rather allow room specifically for God's seething anger [orge] [rather than your own]: for it is written, Vindication is mine; I will do the pay back, says the Lord.
Therefore if your enemy is hungry, give him something to eat; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink: for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.
Do not be [continually] overcome by evil, but [continually] overcome evil with good.
