Bible Text (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,
(Which He promised in advance through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures)
Concerning his Son, who in the natural came as a descendant of David;
Appointed as the Son of God in [dynamic] power, under the influence of the Spirit of holiness, as a result of the resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.
Through whom we received favor and were sent as apostles, for the purpose of bringing submission to the faith in all nations, on behalf of his name:
Amongst whom you also are called by Jesus Christ:
To everyone living in Rome who is loved by God, called to be saints: good favor to you and peace from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.
Firstly, I continue to thank my God through Jesus Christ for every one of you, because of your faith that is continually being spoken about throughout the world.
For God is my witness, whom I am serving with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that I continually always remember you in my prayers;
I am continually asking if somehow, now at last, I might be successful in God's will to come to you.
For I am longing to see you so that I can impart a spiritual gift to you, resulting in you being set firmly in place;
And that I may also be encouraged at the same time by you through the reciprocal faith of both you and me.
Now, I do not want you to be ignorant, brothers and sisters, that I often planned to come to you (but was prevented until now) that I might bear some fruit among you also, just as with the rest of the Gentiles.
I am a debtor to both the Greeks, and foreigners; to both the wise, and the unwise.
So, with everything that is in me, I am also keen to preach the Gospel to you who are in Rome.
I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the [dynamic] power of God leading to salvation for everyone that continues to believe, not only to the Jew primarily, but also to the Greek.
For in it the righteousness of God is continually being manifested, coming out of faith leading into faith: as it is written, The righteous will live as a result of faith.
For the seething anger [orge] of God is continually being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of mankind, who hold back the truth by unrighteousness;
Because what is known of God is plainly evident to them; since God has made it visible to them.
For His invisible attributes are clearly being made visible since the creation of the world, being understood by what has been made, both his eternal [dynamic] power and His Godhood, so that they are without an excuse:
While knowing God, they did not honor Him as God, nor were they grateful. They became foolish in their arguments, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
And exchanged the glory of the immortal God into an image resembling mortal man, and birds, and fourfooted animals, and reptiles.
Because of this, God handed them over to uncleanness in the evil desires of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
Who exchanged the truth of God with a lie and worshipped and served the creation more than the Creator, who is to be praised for eternity. Amen.
Because of this God handed them over to disgusting desires: for even their women changed their natural sexuality into an influence that is not natural:
In the same way, the men also, leaving the natural sexual use of the woman, were stirred up in their lust towards each other; men with men carrying out shameful acts and receiving in themselves the reward of their error that had to come.
And just as they did not want to approve God in [their] knowledge, God handed them over to an unapproved mind [nous], to produce those things that are not fitting;

Having been filled up with everything that is wrong, illicit intercourse, evil desires, craving possessions, desire to hurt; controlled by envy, murder, argumentative, sneaky, bad character; gossiping,
Slanderers, haters of God, insulting, proud, braggarts, originating bad things, disobedient to parents,
ignorant, unfaithful, inhuman, promise breakers, without mercy:
Who, having a full knowledge of what is right in God's eyes, that those who carry out these things are deserving of death, not only commit them, but applaud those who do them.
