I went on guard duty, stationed myself in my guard tower, and watched closely to see what he would say to me, and what response He would give to my complaint.

And the LORD [Yahweh] answered me, and said, Record the vision, and describe it in writing, so that a runner can read it out.
This passage speaks of journaling, and this verse shows that the Lord speaks to us mostly in vision. This is the easiest way to hear His voice.

For the vision has a specific time frame, but it will go forth and will not fail: though it might take a while, wait for it; because it will surely come to pass, it will not be deferred.
The soul that is filled with pride does not go straight: but a righteous man lives by faith.
Also, because he offends through drink, is a proud man, does not stay home, increases his desires like hades and like death, cannot be satisfied, but collects people, and gathers together his countrymen:
Will these not all start taunting him and mock him, saying, Woe to him who continues to collect things he does not own and cannot keep, because he has weighed himself down with debt!
Will they not suddenly demand interest? Will they not take action to shake you and plunder you?
Because you plundered many nations, the remaining people will plunder you; because of men's blood shed, and violence done to the land, both of the cities and the people that live in them.
Woe to him that covets an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
You have consulted shame to your house by cutting off many people, and have sinned [against] your soul.
For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber will answer it.
Woe to him that builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!
Behold, [is it] not of the LORD [Yahweh] of hosts that the people will labour in the very fire, and the people will weary themselves for very vanity?
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD [Yahweh], as the waters cover the sea.
Woe to him that gives his neighbor drink, that put your bottle to [him], and make [him] drunken also, that you may look on their nakedness!
You are filled with shame for glory: drink you also, and let your foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD [Yahweh]'S right hand will be turned to you, and shameful spewing [will be] on your glory.
For the violence of Lebanon will cover you, and the spoil of beasts, [which] made them afraid, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
What profits the graven image that the maker of it has graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts therein, to make dumb idols?
Woe to him that says to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it will teach! Behold, it [is] laid over with gold and silver, and [there is] no breath at all in the midst of it.
But the LORD [Yahweh] [is] in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
