The song of songs, which [is] Solomon's.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for your love [is] better than wine.
Because of the aroma of your aromatic oils you have a reputation for pouring on cologne, therefore the young women love you.
Attract me and we will run after you. The king drew me into his bedroom: we are happy and full of joy, we are reminded of your love that is better than the effect of wine: it is right to be in love with you.
I [am] dark skinned, but attractive, O you daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
Don't stare at me, because I have a dark skin as a result of the sun beating down on me: my mother's sons were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; [but] my own vineyard I have not maintained.
Tell me, O you whom my soul loves, where you feed, where you cause [your flock] to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turns aside by the flocks of your companions?
If you do not know, O you loveliest amongst women, go on out by the footsteps of the flock, and feed your kids beside the shepherds' tents.
I have compared you, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots.
Your cheeks are beautiful with rows [of jewels], your neck with chains [of gold].
We will make you borders of gold with studs of silver.
While the king [sits] at his table, my perfume sends forth its odour.
A bundle of myrrh [is] my lover to me; he will lie all night between my breasts.
My lover [is] to me [as] a cluster of henna in the vineyards of Engedi.
You look so beautiful, my love; you are really lovely; your eyes are like doves.
You are not only handsome, my lover, but you are also charming: and our bed is green like a flourishing garden.
The beams of our house [are] cedar, [and] our rafters of fir.
