Saying, Get up, and take the young child and his mother, and leave for the land of Israel: for those who sought the young child's [psuche] life are dead.
Therefore I say to you, Do not be concerned about your [psuche] life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor even for your body, what you will put on. Is not the [psuche] life more than food, and the body [more] than clothing?
He that finds his [psuche] life will lose it: and he that loses his [psuche] life on account of me will find it.
For whoever will save his [psuche] life will lose it: and whoever will lose his [psuche] life for my sake will find it.
Even as the Son of man did not come to be attended to, but to wait on others, and to give his [psuche] life a ransom for many.
And he said to them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save [psuche] life, or to kill? But they remained silent.
For whoever will save his [psuche] life will lose it; but whoever will lose his [psuche] life for my sake and the gospel's, will save it.
For even the Son of man did not come to be served to, but to serve, and to give his [psuche] life a ransom for many.
Then Jesus said to them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save [psuche] life, or to destroy [it]?
For whoever will save his [psuche] life will lose it: but whoever will lose his [psuche] life for my sake, the same will save it.

Life consists of more than food, and the body [is more] than clothing.
If any [man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, yes, and his own [psuche] life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Whosoever will seek to save his [psuche] life will lose it; and whoever will lose his [psuche] life will preserve it.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his [psuche] life for the sheep.
As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my [psuche] life for the sheep.
Therefore my Father loves me, because I lay down my [psuche] life, that I might take it [up] again.
He that loves his [psuche] life will lose it; and he that hates his [psuche] life in this world will keep it [leading] to eternal [zoe] life.
Peter said to him, Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my [psuche] life for your sake.
Jesus answered him, Would you lay down your [psuche] life for my sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, The cock will not crow, till you have denied me three times.
Nobody has a love greater than this, that someone should lay down their [psuche] life for their friends.
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their [psuche] minds evil affected against the brothers.
Men that have hazarded their [psuche] lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing [him] said, Trouble not yourselves; for his [psuche] life is in him.
But none of these things move me, neither do I consider my [psuche] life important to me, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
And said to them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our [psuche] lives.
And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there will be no loss of [psuche] life among you, but of the ship.
Lord, they have killed your prophets, and digged down your altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my [psuche] life.
Who have for my [psuche] life laid down their own necks: to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the [psuche] heart;
Only let your conduct be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one [psuche] mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Because for the work of Christ he was near to death, not considering his [psuche] life, to supply your lack of service towards me.
And whatever business you carry out, apply your whole being to it, as though it was for the Lord, and not for man;
For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your [psuche] minds.
This is how we know the [agape] love [of God], because he laid down his [psuche] life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] [psuche] lives for the brothers.
To pronounce judgement upon all, and to convince all [psuche] that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have [in] ungodliness committed, and of all their harsh [utterances] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had [psuche] life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and by means of the word of their testimony; and they did not love their [psuche] lives even if it led to death.
