My soul will boast in the LORD [Yahweh]: the humble will hear [of it], and rejoice.

The LORD [Yahweh] will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.

Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD [Yahweh]: [though] hand [join] in hand, he will not be unpunished.

Pride [goes] before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

When faced with ruin the heart of a man is proud, but there is humility when he is faced with honor.
