You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatever you will ask from the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brothers beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

And all that dwell upon the earth will worship him, whose names are not written in the book of [zoe] life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
