And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD [Yahweh], that none [which was] unclean in any thing should enter in.

And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates of it were consumed with fire.

But it came to pass, [that] when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, [and] that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very angry,

Unless the LORD [Yahweh] builds the house, they labour in vain that build it: unless the LORD [Yahweh] keeps the city, the watchman wakes for nothing.

The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.

I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, [which] will never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the LORD [Yahweh], keep not silence,
