Nehemiah 8:10

Then he said to them, Go your way, eat the fatty rich foods, drink the sweet drinks, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared: for [this] day [is] holy to our Lord: do not be unhappy; for the joy of the LORD [Yahweh] is your stronghold of protection.
There is a time to celebrate by eating, drinking and giving gifts. This produces a good feeling of joy and this Joy becomes a protection from spiritual attack.


Psalms 4:7

You have placed more joy in my heart, than what they have when the corn and wine are in abundance.


Psalms 16:9

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also will rest in hope.


Psalms 16:11

You will make known to me the way to revival: in your presence there is joy that fully satisfies; at your right hand there are pleasures that last forever.
The key to revival is entering His presence. There, we can obtain every good thing in this life.


Psalms 45:7

You love righteousness, and hate wickedness: therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellow man.

Joy is greater than happiness. It is a spiritual force and is therefore our strength.
