The LORD [Yahweh] [is] near to those that are of a broken heart; and saves those who are of a contrite spirit.

Better [it is to be] of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.

When faced with ruin the heart of a man is proud, but there is humility when he is faced with honor.

The end results of meekness and reverential fear of the LORD [Yahweh] are wealth, fame and life.

For who [is] greater, the one who sits and is served his meal, or the one who serves? Is it not the one who sits and is served a meal? but I am among you as he that serves.
