For he taught them as [one] having authority, and not like the scribes.

But so that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins, (he said to the paralysed man,) Arise, take up your bed, and go home.

But when the multitudes saw [it], they were amazed, and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

And they were astonished at his teaching: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

And they were all amazed, so much so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? what new teaching [is] this? for with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with authority.

And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, saying, What a word [is] this! for with authority and [dynamic] power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.

For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say to one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does [it].

And [he] has given him authority to execute judgement also, because he is the Son of man.
