And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, [and] the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed [is] in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which [is] upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, which contains the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it will be for food.

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creeps upon the earth, in which [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for food: and it was so.

And out of the ground the LORD [Yahweh] God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Thorns also and thistles it will bring forth to you; and you will eat the herb of the field;

In the sweat of your face you will eat bread, until you return to the ground; for out of it you were taken: for dust you [are], and to dust you will return.

And take you to yourself of all food that is eaten, and you will gather [it] to you; and it will be for food for you, and for them.

Every moving thing that lives will be food for you; just as with the green herb I have given you all things.

And he gathered up all the food of the seven years, which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which [was] round about every city, laid he up in the same.

And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for [it was] without number.

And he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you: he will also bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your corn, and your wine, and your oil, the increase of your kine, and the flocks of your sheep, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.

And the manna stopped the next day after they had eaten of the produce of the land; the Israelites no longer had manna; but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat [for] food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, wells digged, vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance: so they ate, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in your great goodness.

You have given us like sheep [appointed] for food; and have scattered us among the heathen.

And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them grain from heaven.

Man ate angels' food: he sent them a provision to fully satisfy.

He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;

And wine [that] makes glad the heart of man, [and] oil to make [his] face to shine, and bread [which] strengthens man's heart.

And [you will have] goats' milk enough for your food, for the food of your household, and [for] the maintenance of your female servants.

Remove far from me deception and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food [that is] suitable for me:

I made myself gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them of all [kinds of] fruit:

Test your servants, I beg of you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat, and water to drink.

And at the end of ten days their faces appeared more attractive and fatter in flesh than all the children who ate the portion of the king's food.

Thus Melzar took away the portion of their food, and the wine that they had to drink; and gave them vegetables.

For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed [are] pure; but [it is] evil for that man who eats with offence.

[It is] good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor [any thing] whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.
