And the earth became an empty, formless, waste; and darkness covered the surface of the depths. And the Spirit of God brooded over the waters.

And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find [such a one] as this [is], a man in whom the Spirit of God [is]?

And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, with skill in all kinds of crafts,

And he has filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship;

And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding [in his tents] according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.

And the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD [Yahweh] delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.

But the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him.

Then the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] came upon Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over [to] the children of Ammon.

And the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

And the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] came powerfully upon him, and he tore it apart as he would have done with a young goat, with nothing in his hand: but he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.

And the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments to those that explained the riddle. And his anger was aroused, and he went up to his father's house.

[And] when he came to Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] came mightily upon him, and the cords that [were] upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

And the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them, and will be turned into another man.

And when they came there to the hill, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.

Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brothers: and the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

But the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD [Yahweh] troubled him.

And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing [as] appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

And he went there to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

The Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] spoke by me, and his word [was] in my tongue.

And it will come to pass, [as soon as] I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] will carry you where I know not; and [so] when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he will slay me: but I your servant fear the LORD [Yahweh] from my youth.

But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] from me to speak to you?

And they said to him, Behold now, there be with your servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray you, and seek your master: lest perhaps the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] has taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, You will not send.

And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] from me to speak to you?

Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] in the midst of the congregation;

And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said to them, Thus says God, Why transgress you the commandments of the LORD [Yahweh], that you cannot prosper? because you have forsaken the LORD [Yahweh], he has also forsaken you.

All the while my breath [is] in me, and the spirit of God [is] in my nostrils;

The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty has given me life.

And the spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] will rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD [Yahweh];

The grass withers, the flower fades: because the spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] blows upon it: surely the people [is] grass.

Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh], or [being] his counselor has taught him?

So will they fear the name of the LORD [Yahweh] from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy attacks like a flood, he will be put to flight by the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh].

The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me; because the LORD [Yahweh] has anointed me to preach good news to the poor and lowly; he has sent me to bandage up those who are crushed inside, to proclaim freedom to those in captivity, and the opening of the eyes of those who are in bondage;

As a beast goes down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] caused him to rest: so did you lead your people, to make yourself a glorious name.

And the Spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] fell upon me, and said to me, Speak; Thus says the LORD [Yahweh]; Thus have you said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, [every one of] them.

Afterwards the spirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

The hand of the LORD [Yahweh] was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD [Yahweh], and set me down in the midst of the valley which [was] full of bones,

O [you that are] named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD [Yahweh] straitened? [are] these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walks uprightly?

But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD [Yahweh], and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up immediately out of the water: and the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and coming upon him:

But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those that are bruised,

Then Peter said to her, How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those that buried your husband [are] at the door, and will carry you out.

And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

But you are not [continually] in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God continues to dwell in you. For whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him.

For as long as we continue to be guided by the Spirit of God, we continue to be the children of God.

Through powerful signs and wonders, through the [dynamic] power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

For which person knows all that is in man, apart from the human spirit that is inside every one? even so nobody knows all about God, except the Spirit of God.

But the natural [soulish] man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know [them intimately], because they must be examined spiritually.

Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?

But she is happier if she so remains, in my opinion: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

Therefore I am letting you know, that no one speaking through the Spirit of God can say 'curse [anathema] Jesus': and no one can say 'Lord Jesus', except through the [agency of] Holy Spirit.

Now the Lord is the Spirit: and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is true freedom.

But all of us, with unveiled face [continually] looking at the reflection of the glory of the Lord, are [continually] changing [metamorphoo] into the same image from one [level of] glory into another [level of] glory, just like the glory that comes from the Spirit of the Lord.

And do not grieve the holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed until the day of redemption.

This is how you come to know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has appeared in the flesh is from God:
