The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

For he that sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap [zoe] life everlasting.

Among whom also we all had our conduct in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind [dianoia]; and were by nature the children of anger [orge], even as others.

For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

And [that] they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of [bios] life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
