Important points about the Book:

• Micah prophesied at the same time as Isaiah and Hosea. He prophesied during the tragic and historic years
surrounding the Assyrian invasion of the Northern Kingdom. Micah predicted the event in Micah 1:6, and it came to
pass between 10 and 15 years later, in 722 BC.
Micah's earlier prophecies concern judgment on the kingdoms of Israel and Judah for idolatry. His later prophecies
concern the future kingdom that Jesus spoke of.
