Important Points About the Book
Job's blessings are described in Chapter 1.
Then his losses in the trial from Satan are described, ending in Chapter 2.
In Chapters 3 through 37, Job converses with three friends who showed up. They want to make him feel better, but they confound their own efforts by accusing him of "earning" his trial by having sinned. Job has not sinned, and he refuses to say a bad word about God.
In Chapters 37 through 40, God confronts them all, especially Job, with a strong speech on why they are not big enough or smart enough to question his acts.
In the closing Chapter, 41, God restores all of Job's losses, giving him twice as much as before and 10 more children.
