Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]

1 Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those that have been made holy by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, [and] called:
2 Mercy to you, and peace, and [agape] love, be given in abundance.
- AGAPE - DIVINE LOVE
3 Beloved, when I applied myself to write to you of the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write to you, and encourage [you] that you should earnestly fight for the faith which was once [for all] committed to the saints.
4 For there are certain people who have sneaked in, who were already in time past destined for this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into unbridled lust, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore remind you, though you once knew this that the Lord, having saved the people from the land of Egypt, afterwards destroyed those that did not believe.
6 And the angels which did not keep their first positions, but left their own dwelling place, he has kept in everlasting chains under [control of] darkness until the great day of judgement.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in the same way, giving themselves over to sexual sin, and going after sexual perversion, are set forth as a specimen, suffering the execution of eternal fire.
8 Likewise also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise authority, and speak evil of dignities.
9 Yet Michael the archangel, when arguing with the devil he was disputing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a slanderous accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you.
- ANGELS
10 But these [people] speak evil about those things which they do not know: but what they know naturally, like wild animals, in those things they corrupt themselves.
11 Woe to them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
12 These are rocky reefs in your [agape] love feasts, when they dine with you, feeding themselves without fear: [they are] clouds without water, carried about by winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
- AGAPE - DIVINE LOVE
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord is coming with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To pronounce judgement upon all, and to convince all [psuche] that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have [in] ungodliness committed, and of all their harsh [utterances] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
- PSUCHE - SOUL LIFE
16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouths speak great swelling [words], admiring personal status because of its advantages.
17 But, beloved, you remember the [rhema] words that were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
- RHEMA - WORD
18 How they told you that there would be mockers in the last [chronos] times, who would follow after their own ungodly lusts.
- CHRONOS - TIME
19 These are those who set themselves apart, sensual, not having the Spirit.
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 Keep yourselves in the [agape] love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ [leading] to eternal [zoe] life.
- AGAPE - DIVINE LOVE
22 And with some have compassion, understanding their doubts:
23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
24 Now to him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only God our Savior, [be] glory and majesty, dominion and authority, both now and for ever. Amen.
