Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]  [Read Bible Only]

1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the time set for prayer, three o'clock in the afternoon.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to beg for money from those that entered into the temple;
3 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked for money.
4 And Peter, fastening his eyes on him with John, said, Look at us.
Peter had to get his full attention before he could minister to him. He did this boldly and with confidence, knowing that he had something to offer.

5 And he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold I do not have; but what I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Peter knew that he had within himself the anointing of God, which also included the ability to bring healing to someone else. Every spirit filled believer has this, but few know how to tap into that anointing.

7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
After he had spoken words of healing, Peter added action to his words. The anointing was thus released via both words and actions.

8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
This was a miracle in itself - it takes a child some time to learn to walk with balance, and since he had never walked before, he would not have had any experience in walking before.

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 And they knew that it was he that sat begging for money at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
11 And as the lame man that was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw [it], he responded to the people, You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? or why are you looking so earnestly at us, as though by our own [dynamic] power or holiness we have made this man to walk?
The power is not from the human spirit, and is not increased through holiness. It comes from God alone.

13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and you denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let [him] go.
14 But you denied the Holy and Just One, and desired a murderer to be granted to you;
15 And killed the Prince of [zoe] life, whom God has raised from the dead; of which we are witnesses.
Jesus is known as the Prince of Life.

16 And his name through faith in his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know: yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
Faith is the force that brings miracles. It is released in the name of Jesus, which adds authority to the power of faith. Thus, power and authority work together to produce miracles.

17 And now, brothers, I realize that you did [it] through ignorance, as your rulers also [did].
18 But those things, which God before had foretold by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he has thus fulfilled.
19 Change your thinking therefore, and return to [what once was], resulting in your failures being wiped away, so that specific [kairos] times of refreshing and revival will come from the presence of the Lord;
The change begins in the mind. This is the first key to revival - a return to what was before. The result is a purging from sin and an outpouring of revival power.
- KAIROS - TIME - PRESENCE OF GOD - REVIVAL

20 And he will send Jesus Christ, who before was preached to you:
Everything God gives is in Christ. So revival is found in Christ and you must receive it from His hands.

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the [chronos] times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
- CHRONOS - TIME
22 For Moses truly said to the fathers, The Lord your God will raise up a prophet for you from your brothers, similar to me; him you will hear in everything that he will say to you.
23 And it will come to pass, [that] every person, who will not hear that prophet, will be destroyed from among the people.
24 Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, And in your descendants all the peoples of the earth will be blessed.
26 To you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
