Bible Text (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]  [Read Bible Only]
2 And a leper came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.
3 And Jesus put out [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I want to; be clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Jesus healed by a choice of His will and He did it using words and actions. He touched the man and commanded him to become clean.
4 And Jesus said to him, See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
5 And when Jesus had entered into Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, begging him,
6 And saying, Lord, my servant is lying at home paralysed, suffering terribly.
7 And Jesus said to him, I will come and heal him.
8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof: but just speak the word, and my servant will be healed.
He recognized that Jesus had authority over sickness.
9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this [one], Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does [it].
10 When Jesus heard [it], he was amazed, and said to those that followed, Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel.
11 And I say to you, That many will come from the east and west, and will sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness: there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
13 And Jesus said to the centurion, Go; and as you have believed, [so] it will be done to you. And his servant was healed at that exact time.
Jesus gave an instruction to follow - 'Go', and this act, when it was carried out, produced the healing.

14 And when Jesus had come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laying down, and sick from a fever.
15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and served them.
He did not lay His hands on her head, but just touched her hand and it was enough. Although another version says that He also rebuked the fever. So once again it takes both words and actions.

16 When the evening had come, they brought to him many that were possessed with demons: and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick:
He healed every one, which means that he had the right to choose. This is how the healing mantle should work.
- DELIVERANCE

17 That it might be fulfilled what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, He himself took our infirmities, and bore [our] sicknesses.

18 Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave orders to leave for the other side.
19 And a certain scribe came, and said to him, Master, I will follow you wherever you go.
20 And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes and the birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay [his] head.
21 And another one of his disciples said to him, Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.
He was not speaking about needing to do a funeral, but he was saying that he would have to wait until his father was dead and out of the way.
22 But Jesus said to him, become My disciple; and let the dead bury their dead.
Let those who are spiritually dead give this their priority.
23 And when he had entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
24 And a great storm arose on the sea, so that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25 And his disciples came to [him], and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we are drowning.
26 And he said to them, Why are you afraid, O you of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
This required a different mantle to healing. It is the mantle of miracles

27 But the men were amazed, saying, What kind of person is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
28 And when he had come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two men [who were] demonized, coming out of the tombs, extremely violent, so that no one could pass by that way.
29 And they cried out, saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the [kairos] time?

30 And there was a herd of many pigs feeding a long way off from them.
31 So the demons begged him, saying, If you cast us out, allow us to go off into the herd of pigs.
32 And he said to them, Go. And when they had come out, they went into the herd of pigs: and the whole herd of pigs ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and died in the waters.
33 And those that kept them fled, and went their way into the city, and told every thing, and what had happened to the demonized [men].
34 And the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they begged [him] that he would leave their area.
