Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]

At the same time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
So Jesus called a little child and placed him in the middle of them,
And said, Let me tell you something, Unless you change your attitudes, and become like little children, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whoever therefore will humble himself as this little child, the same is great in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoever will receive one such little child in my name receives me.
But whoever will offend one of these little ones who believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Woe to the world because of offences! for it is necessary that offences must come; but woe to that man by whom the offence comes!
Therefore if your hand or your foot offend you, cut them off, and cast [them] from you: it is better for you to enter into [zoe] life paralysed or deformed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
And if your eye offends you, pluck it out, and cast [it] from you: it is better for you to enter into [zoe] life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I say to you, That in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.
For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost.
What you do think? if a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety nine, and go into the mountains, and seek the one that has gone astray?
And if he should find it, truly I say to you, he rejoices more over that [sheep], than over the ninety nine that did not go astray.
Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Moreover if your brother trespasses against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone: if he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
But if he will not listen to [you, then] take with you one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every [rhema] word may be established.
And if he fails to listen to them, tell [it] to the church: but if he fails to listen to the church, let him be to you as a heathen person and a tax collector.
Truly I say to you, Whatever you will bind on earth will be considered as being already bound in heaven: and whatever you will release on earth will be considered as being already released in heaven.
Again I say to you, That if two of you will be in full agreement on earth concerning any circumstance that they should request for themselves, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.
For where two or three have been gathered together in my name, I am continually there in the middle of them.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how often should my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? up to seven times?
Jesus said to him, I do not say to you, up to seven times: but, up to seventy times seven.
Therefore the kingdom of heaven is similar to a certain king, who wanted to review the accounts of his servants.
And when he had started to make assessment, someone was brought to him, who owed him ten thousand talents.
But since he did not have anything to pay it with, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.
Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and released him, and forgave him the debt.
But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, who owed him a hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took [him] by the throat, saying, Pay me what you owe.
And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and begged him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.
And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay the debt.
So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very upset, and came and told to their lord all that was done.
Then his lord, after he had called him, said to him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you wanted me to:
Should you not also have had compassion on you fellowservant, even as I had pity on you?
And his lord was angry, and handed him over to the torturers, till he should pay all that was due to him.
So likewise my heavenly Father will do also to you, if you do not from your hearts forgive each one his brother their trespasses.
