Bible Text (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]
A guilty person runs when nobody is even chasing them: but someone who has done what was right [and is free of guilt] is as bold and confident as a lion.
Rebellion in a region has many leaders: but a sensible person who knows what he is doing will hold things together.
A person in need who is strong and takes advantage of others in need is like rain beating down without there being any grain.
Those who abandon the Law lift up criminals: but those that carefully guard the Law angrily oppose them.
Bad people do not understand justice: but those who yearn for the Lord understand it completely.
Better [is] the poor that walks in his uprightness, than [he that is] perverse [in his] ways, though he [be] rich.
Whoever keeps the law [is] a wise son: but he that is a companion of immoral [men] shames his father.
He that by usury and unjust gain increases his substance, he will gather it for him that will pity the poor.
He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer [will be] an abomination.
Whoever causes the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he will fall himself into his own pit: but the upright will have good [things] in his possession.
The rich man [is] wise in his own eyes; but the poor [man] that has understanding finds him out.
When righteous [men] are rejoicing, [there is] great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
He that covers his sins will not prosper: but whoever confesses and forsakes [them] will have mercy.
Happy [is] the man that fears always: but he that hardens his heart will fall into mischief.

[As] a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; [so is] a wicked ruler over the poor people.
The prince that lacks understanding [is] also a great oppressor: [but] he that hates covetousness will prolong [his] days.
A man that causes hurt to the [sheddding of] blood of [any] person will flee to the pit; let no man assist him.
Whoever walks uprightly will be saved: but [he that is] perverse [in his] ways will fall at once.
He that tills his land will have plenty of bread: but he that follows after empty [schemes] will have plenty of poverty.
A faithful man will abound with blessings: but he that makes haste to be rich will not be innocent.
- BLESSING
- BLESSING
To show favoritism [is] not good: because for a piece of bread [that] man will go astray.
He that hurries to get rich [has] an evil eye, and does not consider that poverty will come upon him.
He that rebukes a man will afterwards find more favor than he that flatters with his tongue.
- FAVOR
- FAVOR
Whoever robs his father or his mother, and says, [I have done] no wrong; he [is] a companion to a destroyer.
He that is of a proud heart stirs up strife: but he that puts his trust in the LORD [Yahweh] will be made fat.
He that trusts in his own heart is a fool: but whoever walks wisely, he will be delivered.
He that gives to the poor will not lack: but he that hides his eyes will have many a curse.

When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
