Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]

And the LORD [Yahweh] spoke to Moses, saying,
Set apart for me all the firstborn, whatever comes first out of the womb among the offspring of Israel, whether human or animal.
And Moses said to the people, Make a note of this day, when you came out from Egypt, out of the house of slavery; for by a strong hand the LORD [Yahweh] brought you out: no food with yeast will be eaten.
You are leaving today, in the month Abib.
When the LORD [Yahweh] has brought you into the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he had promised on oath to your forefathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, that you will serve Him like this in that month.
For seven days you will eat bread without yeast, and on the seventh day you will hold a feast to the LORD [Yahweh].
For seven days you must not only eat bread without yeast, but no yeast must be found with you, not even in your living area.
And you will declare to your children at that time, saying, This is because of what the LORD [Yahweh] did to me when I came out of Egypt.
And it will be like a mark on your hand, and a sign on your forehead, that the LORD [Yahweh]'S law may be in your mouth: for with a strong hand the LORD [Yahweh] has brought you out of Egypt.
You will keep this practice at the set time every year.
And it will be when the LORD [Yahweh] will bring you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and will give it you,
That you will set apart to the LORD [Yahweh] all that opens the matrix, and every firstling that comes from an animal that you have; the males [will be] the LORD [Yahweh]'S.
And every firstling of an ass you will redeem with a lamb; and if you do not want to redeem it, then you will break its neck: and all the firstborn of man among your children you will redeem.
And it will be when your son asks you in the future, saying, What is this? that you will say to him, By strength of hand the LORD [Yahweh] brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the LORD [Yahweh] slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of animals: therefore I sacrifice to the LORD [Yahweh] all that opens the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.
And it will be for a sign on your hand, and for markers between your eyes: for by strength of hand the LORD [Yahweh] brought us out of Egypt.
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was closer; for God said, In case the people change their minds when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
But God led the people round about, through the route of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up fully armed out of the land of Egypt.
And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had made the the Israelites promise on oath, saying, God will surely take care of you; and you must transport my bones there with you.
And they took their journey from Succoth, and camped in Etham, at the edge of the wilderness.
And the LORD [Yahweh] went before them during the day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them in the way; and at night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to keep moving day and night:
- CLOUD - GLORY
He did not take away the pillar of the cloud during the day, nor the pillar of fire at night, in front of the people.
