Bible Text (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]
The one who remains in the secret place of the most High [El Elyon] will live under the shadow of the Almighty [El Shaddai].
I will say of the LORD [Yahweh], [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him I will trust.
Surely he will deliver you from the snare of the bird trapper, [and] from the destructive plague.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge and protection: his truth [will be both your] protection and defence (large and smaller shield).
You will not be afraid of nightly terror; [or] of arrows [that] fly during the day;
[Nor] for the plague [that] moves in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] devastates in the middle of the day.
A thousand will fall beside you, and ten thousand at your right hand; [but] it will not come near you.
Your eyes will take note and see the punishment of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD [Yahweh], [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, your habitation;
There will no evil befall you, neither will any plague come near your dwelling.
They will bear you up in [their] hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You will tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon will you trample under feet.
Because he has set his love upon me, therefore I will deliver him: I will lift him up and exalt him, because he has intimately come to know my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him: I [will be] with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and glorify him.
With long life I will fully satisfy him, and cause him to see my salvation.
