1 Then I turned, and lifted up my eyes, and looked, and saw a flying roll.
2 And he said to me, What do you see? I answered, I see a flying roll; the length of it [is] twenty cubits, and the breadth of it ten cubits.
3 Then said he to me, This [is] the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that steals will be cut off according to the one side of it; and every one that swears will be cut off according to the other side of it.
4 I will bring it forth, says the LORD [Yahweh] of hosts, and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of the one that swears falsely by my name: and it will remain in the midst of his house, and will consume it with its timber and its stones.
5 Then the angel that talked with me came forward, and said to me, Lift up now your eyes, and see what this is that is going out.
6 I said, What is it? And he said, This is a measuring basket that is going out. Then he said , This is what they look like throughout the land.
7 And then the round lead cover was lifted up: and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the measuring basket.
8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he threw her back into the basket; and he threw the weight of lead over the opening of it.
9 Then lifted I up my eyes, and looked, and I saw two women coming towards me, and the wind was in their wings; because they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted the basket up between heaven and earth.
10 Then I said to the angel that talked with me, Where are they taking the basket?
11 And he said to me, To build a house for it in Babylon: and when it is ready, to set the basket in its final resting place there.
