Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]

And the LORD [Yahweh] spoke to Moses, saying,
Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them, You will be holy: for I the LORD [Yahweh] your God [am] holy.
You will fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh] your God.
Turn you not to idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh] your God.
And if you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD [Yahweh], you will offer it at your own will.
It will be eaten the same day you offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it will be burnt in the fire.
And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it [is] abominable; it will not be accepted.
Therefore [every one] that eats it will bear his iniquity, because he has profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD [Yahweh]: and that soul will be cut off from among his people.
And when you reap the harvest of your land, you will not wholly reap the corners of your field, neither will you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
And you will not glean your vineyard, neither will you gather [every] grape of your vineyard; you will leave them for the poor and stranger: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh] your God.
You will not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
And you will not swear by my name falsely, neither will you profane the name of your God: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
You will not defraud your neighbor, neither rob [him]: the wages of him that is hired will not abide with you all night until the morning.
You will not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but will fear your God: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
You will do no unrighteousness in judgment: you will not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: [but] in righteousness will you judge your neighbor.
You will not go up and down [as] a talebearer among your people: neither will you stand against the blood of your neighbor: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
You will not hate your brother in your heart: you will in any wise rebuke your neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him.
You will not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you will love your neighbor as yourself: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
You will keep my statutes. You will not let your cattle engender with a diverse kind: you will not sow your field with mingled seed: neither will a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon you.
And whoever lies carnally with a woman, that [is] a bondmaid, betrothed to a husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she will be scourged; they will not be put to death, because she was not free.
And he will bring his trespass offering to the LORD [Yahweh], to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, [even] a ram for a trespass offering.
And the priest will make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD [Yahweh] for his sin which he has done: and the sin which he has done will be forgiven him.
And when you will come into the land, and will have planted all manner of trees for food, then you will count the fruit of it as uncircumcised: three years will it be as uncircumcised to you: it will not be eaten of.
But in the fourth year all the fruit of it will be holy to praise the LORD [Yahweh] [withal].
And in the fifth year will you eat of the fruit of it, that it may yield to you the increase of it: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh] your God.
You will not eat [any thing] with the blood: neither will you use enchantment, nor observe times.
You will not round the corners of your heads, neither will you mar the corners of your beard.
You will not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
Do not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.
You will keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh] your God.
You will rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man, and fear your God: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
And if a stranger sojourn with you in your land, you will not vex him.
[But] the stranger that dwells with you will be to you as one born among you, and you will love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh] your God.
You will do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.
Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, will you have: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh] your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
Therefore will you observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I [am] the LORD [Yahweh].
