Bible Text  (Scroll to Verse)  [Copy]

Do not keep silence, O God: do not hold your peace, and do not be still, O God.
For, look, your enemies are in an uproar: and those that hate you have reared their head.
They have gathered subtily against your people, and conspired against your treaured ones.
They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from [being] a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
For they have consulted together with one heart: they have cut covenant against you:
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Assur also has joined with them: they have helped the children of Lot. Selah.
Do to them as [to] the Midianites; as [to] Sisera, as [to] Jabin, at the brook of Kishon:
[Who] perished at Endor: they became [as] manure for the ground.
Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yes, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:
Who said, Let us take possession of the habitations of God.
O my God, make them as rolling dust; like dry straw in the wind.
As a fire consumes a forest, and as the flames set the mountains ablaze;
So persecute them with your tempest, and make them afraid with your storm.
Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek your name, O LORD [Yahweh].
Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yes, let them be put to shame, and perish:
That [men] may know that you, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [are] the most high over all the earth.
